One person is dead following a shooting incident Monday morning at around 2:30.

According to Cherokee County Coroner Broderick Smith – the victim will be transported to Huntsville for an autopsy; at this point, it appears no one else was hurt.

The incident occurred off County Road 51 near Ladd Campground.
