Jacksonville State University Searching for Successor to President Bill Meehan

That team is made up of university administrators, JSU trustee members, Faculty Senate president, the Student Government Association president and two representatives from the business community.

Trustee Ronnie Smith, chair of the Building & Finance Committee, and former regional Vice President for Alabama Power, will chair the presidential search and screening committee.

The committee will be asked to provide a list of candidates to the board next March – with a successor being named the following month.

Meehan is the third longest serving president in the history of JSU.
