Gadsden Police are investigating a report filed by a 43 year old Etowah County woman last week in which she claims she was attacked while walking her dog along 6th Avenue around 7:30 Thursday night.
She said she noticed she was being followed by a Hispanic male as she walked home from a nearby department store; after arriving at her front door, the man kept walking – however, moments later when she went outside to walk her dog – the man reappeared and attacked her.
The woman managed to fight the assailant off, and return to her home – at which point the suspect fled down 12th Street. She described the individual as being about five-six (5’6”), with a “buzzcut” style haircut and a mustache – wearing a blue shirt and jeans.
The report failed to mention whether or not the victim was injured during the incident.
