19 year old Cierra Brooke Blackwood was arrested Tuesday for first-degree theft for allegedly stealing packages containing $16,000 worth of jewelry left by UPS at a Whorton Bend residence.
On Monday, a woman reported the theft of two boxes that were delivered to her home on Friday by UPS. The packages, delivered from New York, contained several pieces of jewelry and other items valued at more than $16,000.
The security system at the residence recorded a red Ford truck pulling into the driveway a short time after the delivery was made. A woman got out and put the delivered items into the back of the truck and drove away.
The owner of the truck told police he had loaned it to the woman, who was arrested on the day the theft occurred.
