An area firefighter is currently lodged in the Etowah County Detention Center, facing multiple charges of Possession of Pornographic Material.
According to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office website, Ryan Quinn Medley, age 30 – was arrested on Tuesday, January 25th just prior to 8:00pm, and charged with a total of 30 counts of Possessing any Obscene Material Under the age of 17.

We spoke with Fire Chief Blaine Prittz on Monday afternoon, and he informed us that Medley will be “on leave” pending the outcome of the investigation.
