Mrs. Christine Higgins age 71 of Centre passed away Tuesday January 25th at her residence. Funeral services will be 1 PM Sunday January 30th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cedric Williams officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

 Survivors include son, Gregory Don Jr. (LaKawanda) Higgins; daughters, Evita Higgins, Christen Higgins; brothers, Clifton Hayes, Alonzo Jr. (Perstephanie) Hayes and James (Lolita) Hayes; sisters, Margaret Emma Bolden, Ernistine Hayes, Brenda Harris, Shirley Poindexter, Deborah Arrington, Rita Powell, Beatrice Christopher and Doris Hudson; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Higgins; daughter, Sabrina Hayes. 

Mrs. Higgins was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Alonzo and Estella Hates and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
