Mr. Dallas Wayne Stinson, age 82, of Centre passed away Thursday, January 14th at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga.

A funeral service will be held 3 PM Monday, January 17th at Perry funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Williams, Rev. Brett Clements, and Rev. Tracy Hutcheson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Brett Stinson, Justin Taylor, Fabian Dragojlovic, Reid Hulgan, Kevin Muskett , and Keith Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Stinson is survived by his wife, Alda Hill Stinson, sons; Tony Wayne (Karen) Stinson and Jerry Don (Sherry) Stinson, and daughter; Paula (Kevin) Muskett, sisters; Linda Suddeth, Pam Cambell, and Mary Ruth Jordan, grandchildren; Tiffany, Brett, Alex, Peyton, Erica, Casey, and Blake, and great-grandchildren; Anna, Callie, Wade, Hanley, and Ali. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burney Clyde and Mae Brown Stinson.

He was a lifelong member, and deacon, of New Bethel Baptist Church, and was retired from Alabama Power.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Floyd ICU Nurses & Katrice, Jamie, and Greg with Palliative Care at Floyd.

The family will accept flowers or donations to the New Bethel Baptist Church.
