Two Cherokee County FFA Programs received some much appreciated funding during the Monday meeting of the Cherokee County School Board, representatives from Alabama Farm Credit were in attendance to make the presentation of $1,000 each to Cedar Bluff and Spring Garden FFA Programs.
In other business, the board approved minutes from their regular meeting back on October 6th in addition to approving contracts with Lighthouse Counseling, LLC for services at Centre Middle and Cherokee County High Schools.
Also approved was a proposal with LEAN Frog for Stakeholder-driven Strategic Planning Process.
The Leverage of PFS Funds was approved in addition to out of state travel and professional development and the revised longevity pay schedule.
2021/2022 Coaching supplements were also approved in addition to current leave of absences and a list of 2021/2022 substitutes.
The board also voted to allow Board member Corey Colbert as Board Chairman and Lisa Chandler as Vice-Chairman.
