Volleyball’s second season begins on Thursday with area tournaments.

Cedar Bluff is the host of the Class 1A, Area 13 tournament and will take on Valley Head at 5 p.m. Gaylesville battles Coosa Christian in the other tournament semifinal at 6. The tournament championship is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Sand Rock is the host of the Class 2A, Area 12 tournament and will battle Gaston in the opener at 4 p.m. Spring Garden takes on Westbrook Christian in the other semifinal at 5.
Winners advance to the championship match at 6:30 p.m.

Piedmont travels to Pleasant Valley for the Class 3A, Area 11 tournament and will take on Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. The winner of that match faces the winner of Pleasant Valley and Weaver at 6.

Collinsville is at Geraldine in the Class 3A, Area 12 tournament at 1 p.m. The winner of that match faces the Glencoe-Hokes Bluff winner at 4:30 p.m.

In Class 4A, Cherokee County battles White Plains in the Area 9 tournament at Jacksonville at 5 p.m. The winner takes on Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m.
