A Cherokee County (Alabama) man was recently arrested in northwest Georgia, after reportedly being caught attempting to steal items from a department store inside the Mount Berry Mall in Rome.

Brantley Edward Folsom, age 45 of Cedar Bluff, was charged with shoplifting while at Belk and a subsequent search turned up $148.47 worth of items.   He was also allegedly found to be in possession of meth in his front pants pocket.  Folsom was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Theft by Shoplifting
