James “Jimmy” Lindsey, age 62 of Centre, passed away Monday, September 20th.
Graveside services will be 11am , September 24th at Howell Cemetery, with Dr. George Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Carmen Lindsey, Buddy West, Randy Gossett, Wae Ellis, Brent Tidwell, Tom Lindsey, Gramling May, Gene Walker, Billy Lumsden, Nick McMichen, Steve Lindsey, and Lee Weeks. Honorary pallbearers will include employees of Cherokee Gin & Cotton Co. and employees of Ellis Ag.
Survivors include his wife, Maria-Carmen Lindsey; mother, Louise Lindsey; sons, Jake Lindsey (Cassie), Allen Edington (Heather), Blake Edington (Julia); daughters, Sabre Alford, Sandra Barrette (Jason); brother, Richard Lindsey (Johna); grandchildren, Ella, Emma, Ava Jane, Wyatt, Noah, Isabella, Zoey, Linzy, Elijah, and Amelia; multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family in Spain, and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vann Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey was a native of Cherokee County, and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church Building Fund or Howell Cemetery Fund.
