The National Weather Service stated that the remnants of “Tropical Storm Fred”, will move through or just east of our region Tuesday and it could bring increased chances for rain and storms. Parts of northeast Alabama could get 1 to 2 inches of rain from Fred which could lead to some flooding, especially following the recent rainfall that has taken place.
Numerous showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the region on Monday, however they won’t be from Fred but rather a trough of low pressure in the area. Fred will likely leave a tropical air mass in place and help keep rain chances elevated through at least Wednesday of this week.
