Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Rehab Wing at Piedmont Health Care

The Piedmont Health Care Authority recently hosted a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the new state of the art Rehab Wing at Piedmont Health Care.

Trudy Lowe with Preferred Health Care Services, which is the Management Company for Piedmont Health Care, told those in attendance that the new in patient rehab unit is the Celebration Wing – celebrating the lives of those who come for treatment with a goal of improving their lives.  She added that a full range of services will be offered.

That new facility is a twelve bed wing with all private rooms and private bath to help patients recover quickly.  This adds 6,750 square feet of space to the existing 85,000 square feet facility.  Patients will be able to utilize the unit to help them recover from surgeries, accidents, illnesses and other debilitating situations.  This will enable local residents to stay close to home while rehabbing, and will also eliminate the need for family members to drive out of town to visit while the patient is in rehab.

Jerry Culberson of Preferred Health Services had these comments:
