Alabama State Troopers responded to two accidents taking place In Cherokee County on Thursday.
The first involved an 18-wheeler traveling along Highway 411 east near Lyons Street – that incident occurred around 4:15pm.
A short time later, at approximately 5:20 – there was a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Highway 68 West and Sand Rock Avenue – with a total of three people being hurt.
That wreck involved a 2002 Nissan being driven by a male resident of Glencoe, and a 2016 Chevrolet being driven by a female resident of Ider. Both she and the two other occupants of the vehicle, also from Ider, were listed as being injured while the driver of the Nissan was unhurt.
That accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
