Gaylesville softball rallies past Gaston

GAYLESVILLE – The Gaylesville Lady Trojans rallied from a six-run, second-inning deficit to earn a 13-7 softball win over Gaston on Tuesday.

Sierra Holbrook led the Gaylesville hitters with three hits, including a triple, a double and three RBIs. Emma Givens, Anna Hartline and Andreah Calvert each went 2-for-3 with a double. Givens drove in three runs. Hartline drove in a pair of runs, and Calvert brought home another run. Shonda Epps, Peyton Bright and Malaya Shireman each had a pair of hits.

Shireman also picked up the win after working six innings in the circle.

She gave up one earned run on six hits with six strikeouts.
