OXFORD – After going 2-0 on Friday at a softball tournament at Oxford’s Choccolocco Park, the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats dropped two games on Saturday. They fell to Oxford 12-3 and then dropped a 6-4 decision against Hueytown.
Against Oxford, Jadyn Foster led the Lady Wildcats at the plate with a triple, a double and two runs. Sammi Parker delivered a hit and two RBIs. Katelyn St. Clair contributed a hit and a run. Rylin St. Clair drove in a run and Maggie Tinsley drew a walk.
Rylin St. Clair suffered the loss after working an inning.
Against Hueytown, the Lady Wildcats fell behind 6-1 before attempting to rally late.
Tinsley and Foster led Sand Rock at the plate with a pair of hits apiece. Tinsley drove in three runs and Foster scored a run. Katelyn St. Clair added a hit, a run and a RBI. Lily Clanton had a hit and scored a run. Lindsey Chambers drew a walk.
Foster suffered the loss after working four inning. She gave up three earned runs on seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts.
Sand Rock travels to Cedar Bluff on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
