VALLEY HEAD – There must be something to facing Valley Head for Cedar Bluff junior softball pitcher Jordyn Walker.
Walker tossed her second no-hitter of the season against Valley Head on Friday, a 14-0 decision in five innings. She tossed her first no-hitter against the Lady Tigers back on March 11 in a 7-0 victory.
Walker allowed just three walks and finished with 12 strikeouts in Friday’s game.

Emma Haney led Cedar Bluff at the plate by going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and five RBIs. Mary Sausville went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and three RBIs. Harlie Nelson was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs. Mattie Payne added a pair of hits, two runs and a RBI. Caitlin Slayton also had a pair of hits and scored a run.
