CENTRE – The Cherokee County Softball Tournament, originally scheduled to begin on Thursday afternoon, has been postponed due to inclement weather. The tournament is moving to Friday and Saturday and will now be in single-elimination format.

All games will be played at the Cherokee County High School softball field.

The tournament opens with Gaylesville taking on the host Lady Warriors at 3 p.m. on Friday, followed by Sand Rock and Cedar Bluff at 5 p.m. The winner of the Gaylesville-Cherokee County contest will take on Spring Garden at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The championship game is now scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
