Don’t forget your pets today! When putting your safety kit together (do it now!!) don’t forget items for your pet: medications, list of medications, water, food, leash and/or carrier, phone number for your vet.

Also:

*Take a picture with you AND your pet in the same picture. If you get separated from them, this will help identify the pet is yours.

*Don’t let them run loose outside if the storms are approaching. You may not be able to get them inside easily.

*When storms get close, put them on a leash or in a carrier if you know they will hide or be hard to catch.

Trying to round up your pets after a warning has been issued, when you’re frantic and they’re already nervous, is really a terrible idea and takes precious time.
