A 26-year-old man has died after being hit by a train.
The Calhoun County Coroner has identified the victim as Matthew Franklin.
The accident happened on Eulaton Road near Wellborn Park around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Franklin died while on his way to UAB Hospital in a helicopter.
