Governor Kay Ivey will hold a press briefing at 11:00am Thursday (November 5th) with the briefing coming just ahead of the November 8th expiration date of the current mask order.

Alabama State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris will join Ivey at the press conference, which is being held in Montgomery.  That event will be streamed live on the WEIS Radio website.

Ivey and Harris issued the mask order effective July 16th as Alabama began seeing growing numbers of coronavirus cases.

The order has been extended several times and it’s likely to happen again, as the COVID-19 cases in the state have increased in recent days – both in the state and around the country.
