Voter turnout for today’s election is on-pace to be record-setting with lines backing up for a long distance in practically every polling place.
Cherokee County Probate Judge Tim Burgess paid a visit to the WEIS Radio studios Monday to discuss today’s election and he said he expected huge numbers.
Judge Burgess also stressed that with the large turnout – every precaution regarding public health and safety is being taken:
The Judge also wanted to point out that there are currently some 25 active cases of COVID-19 in the county and while wearing a mask ISN’T required he urges everyone to respect the health and safety of others by wearing one when you cast your ballot.
Polls will be open until 7:00pm
