GERALDINE – Malachi Orr ran for 129 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns, but they weren’t enough to lead the Collinsville Panthers past Geraldine in Class 3A, Region 7 football action on Friday night. The Panthers fell by the final of 19-14.

Geraldine (6-3, 4-2) built a 19-7 halftime lead before holding on for the win. Orr scored on an 18-yard run with 8:20 remaining in the third quarter to cut the Panther deficit to five, but could get no closer.

River Walling, Caleb Hall and Troy Willoughby each scored on 1-yard runs for the Bulldogs. Dalton Hughes added 66 yards rushing and 56 yards passing for the Panthers (5-4, 2-4).

The loss ended Collinsville’s hopes for the postseason. The Panthers close out the 2020 season next Friday night at Valley Head.
