SUMITON – DJ Lee ran for 106 yards on 20 carries, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Gaylesville Trojans past Sumiton Christian in Class 1A, Region 7 football action on Friday night. The Eagles claimed a 12-6 victory.
Lee also added an interception and recovered a fumble on defense for the Trojans (4-3, 2-2). Jacob Gordon scored Gaylesville’s lone touchdown. He finished with 55 yards on 10 carries and had six tackles and two assists on defense.
Kody Reynolds recorded six tackles and had seven assist. Jeffrey Keith and Karrson Ray had a sack apiece.
Gaylesville travels to Cedar Bluff on Friday.
