Bids for the Highway 411 Project were officially opened on Friday morning. State Representative Ginny Shaver tells us more –
The project will be funded by the first year ‘Rebuild Alabama’ Plan, and will include roughly five miles between Cherokee and Etowah counties which has not been four-laned.
This will provide Cherokee County with its first four-lane access to an interstate, which is critical for economic development.
Work is expected to begin in around 90 days.
