Firefighters responded to a structure fire at a residence on County Road 335 in Pollards Bend on Tuesday afternoon.
The Leesburg, Centre and Spring Creek Fire Departments responded to the scene. Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and flames coming from the roof of the double-wide mobile home.
Homeowners told WEIS Radio News on scene that the fire started as the result of a grease fire on the stove. Fortunately all occupants of the home were able to safely get out and no one was injured. It appears the home suffered major damage.
Cherokee Electric crews and Floyd EMS medics also responded to the scene.
