Another 1,364 Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus Statewide Going from Monday into Tuesday

Alabama once again saw yet another substantial increase in confirmed cases of coronavirus across the state going from Monday into Tuesday (July 21st) – adding 1,364 to the roll, for a total now stranding at 69,075 since March (2020).  The (Monday) July 20th 10:00am numbers from the Alabama Department of Public Health indicated the state – at that point – had had a total of 67,711 coronavirus cases, with 29,736 presumed to have recovered.  The ADPH says that 1,268 people have thus far died from coronavirus, with another 34 that are being listed as “probable” in that category.

According to the latest data for Cherokee County – a total of 172 confirmed cases have been reported with a total of seven deaths resulting from the illness. 

Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers stated over the weekend, when that number of confirmed cases totaled 159 thus far, there were only 31 active cases

Out of a total of 569 tests administered during the past 14 days a total of 69 positive results have been returned locally.
