A pedestrian was listed as injured after a vehicle crashed through a yard on County Road 40 on Friday night.
Alabama State Troopers say the incident occurred at 8:15 p.m.
The man injured was working in his garden when the 2012 Dodge came over a hill, lost control and ran off of the roadway and hit him knocking him out of the way. Fortunately it appears the man only suffered minor injuries. The driver also struck another vehicle parked in a driveway.
The driver, identified as 52 year old Chadwick Wade Rochester of Leesburg attempted multiple times to leave the scene. He was arrested and booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges of DUI.
