A Hokes Bluff teenager was fatally injured Wednesday evening – in an accident involving an ATV and a car; that, according to Alabama State Troopers.
Charles Dewayne Butler, age 16 from Piedmont, was killed when the All-Terrain Vehicle he was riding was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Impala around 8:35pm.
Butler, a student at Hokes Buff High School was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of the car was transported for minor injuries.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 278 approximately seven miles west of Piedmont.
State Troopers continue to investigate.
