Latest Numbers from the ADPH on Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Statewide and Locally

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state has now far surpassed 10,000 as data from the ADPH COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard shows 10,468 cases – and 440 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.

According to those latest Alabama Department of Public Health figures – 1,302 individuals have thus far been hospitalized, and the number tested stands at 135,079.

The ADPH also lists Cherokee County as having had a total of 24 confirmed cases out of 438 people being tested.

In surrounding counties confirmed cases are considerably higher than they are locally – but that goes hand-in-hand with a larger number of tests being conducted – however, Cherokee County still has a considerably lower percentage rate than those areas.

DeKalb County has had 167 positive results out of 1,647 tests administered there; while in Etowah County there are 196 confirmed cases following a total of 2,923 tests; and Calhoun County has 126 confirmed cases after a total of 2,358 people being tested.
