Additional information has now been released regarding the arrest of a Cherokee County man on multiple counts of drug distribution.
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Josh Summerford said the arrest came about as the result of a two-month long investigation during which several “buys” involving pills were made from the suspect – ultimately leading to his being arrested for transactions including Clonazepam, kratom and HGH steroids.
Forty-one year old Robert Daniel Borders from Centre was placed under arrest on Tuesday, and charged with six counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance – along with an equal number of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charges.
He was taken into custody at his residence.
He was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just prior to 4:30pm, with bond being set at $93,000.
