Three individuals were placed under arrest on controlled substance charges on Wednesday in Cherokee County.

Michael Allen Powell, age 30 and Samantha Nicole Edwards, also age 30 – both residents of Rainsville – were charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

They were also charged with Possession of Wildlife – and bond for each was set at $3,500.

Meanwhile, 29 year old David Allen Burton of Ft Payne, was also charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 

Bond for Burton was set at $2,500.
