Shortly after 3:30am Friday, units with the Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville, and Centre departments all responded to reports of a fire at a residence off of County Road 92 in Cedar Bluff. The structure suffered extensive damage – fortunately however no one was home when the fire started.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
Floyd EMS also responded to the scene as a precautionary measure and Cherokee Electric Co-op crews were dispatched to the location as well.
