Alabama Will Unveil Three New License Plates July 1st; Four More Will be Re-Designed

Beginning July 1st three new license plates will be available in Alabama; four existing plates will be getting a new look.

The Alabama Department of Revenue said that plates for Colon Cancer Awareness, Prostate Cancer Research and Thank a Lineman have now managed to exceed the required number of pre-commitments and will be available for sale.

The plates cost an additional $50.00 and all proceeds will help fund Scholarships, Research, and Education & Health programs.

The four re-designed tags include Letter Carriers, Choose Life (Support Adoption) and Pink Breast Cancer (formerly Fight Breast Cancer/Joy to Life), which are being shipped to every county based on the number of current registrations.

The Jefferson State Community College tag was also re-designed, with tags being shipped to Jefferson County.
