A Georgia man was jailed locally on charges of drug possession over the weekend.
52 year old Summerville resident Raymond Douglas Gilreath was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center shortly after 1:30 Saturday afternoon – charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute, with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (or bond) and DUI/Any Substance. Bond has been set at $19,500.
Another controlled substance arrest was made on Sunday, with 44 year old Christian Heath Wigley of Ft Payne being charged with one count of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
He was booked in at approximately 3:30pm – and currently remains in the detention center with bond set at $2,500.
