WEIS Radio News has spoken to the Alabama State Troopers Post and we’ve been informed that one lane of traffic is currently closed due to a rock slide going up the mountain – that’s near the intersection of Highway 35 and County Road 103, close to the waterfall at Little River Canyon.  The slide occurred shortly after 10:00 Monday morning.

The Alabama Department of Transportation has been notified – we have no estimated time regarding when the road will re-open.

Motorists traveling in that area should slow down and exercise extreme caution.
