Rome Police have issued arrest warrants for a man in connection with the deadly shooting occurring Tuesday night at the Cottis Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard.

According to Assistant Rome Police Chief Debbie Burnett officers responded to a shots fired call at the motel at 9:38pm and found 35 year old Richard Boatner lying on the ground.  Officers performed CPR, but Boatner was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are looking for 18 year old Cody Deangelo Thompson who is facing a charge of felony murder. 

Police believe Boatner and Thompson had been involved in a domestic altercation, that had occurred at another location, prior to the shooting.
