A Leesburg resident remains lodged in the Cherokee County Detention Center following his arrest on a number of charges including Fleeing/Attempting to Elude, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.

18 year old Taylor Wade Rochester was booked into jail shortly after 2:00 Sunday morning; according to an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, approximately an hour-and-a-half earlier at around 12:30am he had been involved in a two-vehicle accident where his 2003 GMC had struck a parked vehicle – which is what apparently brought that chase to an abrupt end.  According to the report, no one was hurt.

Bond for Rochester has been set at $5,800.
