A single-vehicle accident occurring on Highway 35 near the intersection with County Road 125 left two people injured Sunday morning.
Shortly after 9:30, a 2001 Ford pickup, with six occupants, left the roadway and went down an embankment. The driver of the vehicle, listed on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as Jackson Fowler of Calhoun, Georgia, managed to escape injury along with three others in the vehicle, however two people were listed as being hurt in the mishap.
Those included 20 year old Easton Turner of a Georgia address and a 16 year old juvenile.
No information regarding the extent of their injuries was available.
That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
Also responding to the scene were members of the Broomtown Fire Department, Cherokee EMS and Rescue Squad personnel.
