The search continues for the individual that reportedly walked into the Georgia State Patrol Office on the Martha Berry Highway in Rome Wednesday afternoon, threatened a secretary, and then fled. According to the GSP, the man walked into the post – which is located across from the Food Lion store – produced a handgun and then left without harming anyone.
The suspect is described as a white male with a slender build five-feet-eight inches tall with short dark hair. At the time he was wearing blue jeans and a dark color shirt.
The incident took place around 4:00pm.
Anyone who may have seen the man crossing the highway or anywhere in that area, should call 9-1-1 or contact the Floyd County Police Department or Georgia State Patrol.
