The Broomtown Fire Department Cherokee EMS and Redmond EMS in addition to Alabama State Troopers responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a tree, on County Road 41 at the Alabama/Georgia line just after 6:00am Friday.
There had initially been discussion of requesting a helicopter for transport – however early morning fog raised questions as to whether that would be possible.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
