Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies received a report concerning a potential threat at a Sand Rock School Friday morning.

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, deputies were dispatched to the school as a precaution.

  Sheriff’s Office Investigators looked into the report and it was determined that the received threat was not associated with Cherokee County.

The report was related to a Facebook post that went viral across many parts of the nation.  It appeared that the threat originated in Ohio.
