According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Cherokee County investigators captured a fugitive from Mississippi at a residence on County Road 125 in the Gaylesville area on Thursday evening. Sheriff’s Office investigators located the man hiding inside the residence and after an hour of trying to identify the man, investigators learned he was wanted in Mississippi for a probation violation related to possession of cocaine. The fugitive, Justin B. Guimbellot, age 38, was additionally charged with obstructing justice and 3 counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Patsy K. Walker, 36, of Gaylesville, was also arrested at the residence and charged with 3 counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The substances included methamphetamine and 2 other prescription drugs that appeared to have been stolen.
Deputies transported both individuals to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
