Mr. Jimmie Allen Wright, age 70 of Centre, passed away Monday, December 17th at UAB Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:PM Friday, December 22nd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tyrone Jelks officiating; burial will follow in Farmers Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:PM Friday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Survivors include a son, Brian Wright of Jacksonville; step-daughter, Tevis Wright of Jacksonville; god-children, Rhondnesha Covington and Javier Henderson; brothers, McKinley Wright of Atlanta, GA, and J.C. Wright of Centre; sisters, Mary Ruth Jelks of Centre, Earlene Kennon of Centre, Patrisha Driver of Rome, GA, Linda Williams of Gadsden and Bobbie Henderson of Centre; several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Mr. Wright was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late McKinley and Mary Frances Covington Wright, was a farmer and was a member of St. Mary’s United Methodist Church.
