DeKalb County House Fire Claims Life of Elderly Woman

Additional information has now been released regarding the death of a woman in a DeKalb County house fire occurring last Tuesday (November 21st).  

Several fire departments, including Aroney, Beulah, Crossville, Kilpatrick and Sardis – were dispatched to the scene on County Road 386 in the Aroney community shortly after 9:00am and by the time law enforcement officials arrived firefighters had found a body in the home

The DeKalb County Coroner has since identified the victim as 84 year old Lucille Bolding.  It appears she died as the result of smoke inhalation. 

It’s still unclear what led to the fire and the matter remains under investigation.
