A Southside man landed in jail after losing control of the 18 wheeler he was driving and ran off the roadway on Lebanon Road in Ft Payne; the driver overcorrected, causing the weight of the trailer’s load to shift, leading to the trailer rolling over onto its top in a ditch.
The driver, Oscar Russell Williams, was arrested at the scene and charged with DUI. The accident happened last Thursday morning (November 16th) around 11:00am The tractor trailer was owned by Allied Crawford, based out of Attalla. Lebanon Road was closed for around six hours, as crews worked to remove the vehicle and clear away debris.
