Ibe Gean Franks, 73, of Rome, passed away on November 2, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on June 30, 1944 in Piedmont, AL. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Maybell Reaves. Ibe was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Piedmont, AL. She worked at Ladiga Sportswear in Piedmont, AL and also for Shaw Industries in Rome. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hubert Reeves, James Reaves, Jessie D. Reeves, Frankie Reaves and Floyd K. Reaves all of Piedmont, AL; her sisters, Annie Reaves of Piedmont, AL, Jennie B. Holbrooks of Piedmont, AL, Sandra F. Hill of Columbus, GA, Elizabeth S. Reaves of Piedmont, AL.

Ibe is survived by her husband, Ed “Pops” Franks; her daughter and her husband, Wanda and Mike Walker; her son, James Forrister; 2 grandsons and 5 great grandsons; her brothers, Kenneth Reaves of Piedmont, Al, Rickey Reaves (Sharon) of Piedmont, AL; her sisters, Glenda Jacobs (Butch) of Spring Garden, AL and Angie McGatha of Piedmont, AL.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Oaknoll Chapel with Milton Bevels officiating. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jamie Reaves, George Debord, Mike Walker, Butch Jacobs, Gerome Poole and Ricky Reaves.
