Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver and several deputies celebrated 2017 Red Ribbon Week with several schools across the County.  Red Ribbon Week is a national drug prevention program to encourage students to be drug free.

Sheriff Shaver and deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division presented drug awareness programs at Centre Middle School, Centre Elementary School, Cherokee County High School, Cedar Bluff School, Gaylesville School, and Sand Rock School.  The 2017 Red Ribbon Week theme was, “Your future is key, so stay drug-free.”

Sheriff Shaver said, “We appreciate the invitations to provide presentations to our schools, it’s always nice to get to be among our children.”
