Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver announces participation in the “No-shave November” event to benefit the Cherokee County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) and Relay for Life. Sheriff’s Office employees are raising funds to help victims of child abuse and cancer by putting away their razors and growing facial hair during the month of November.
Sheriff Shaver will allow employees who wish to participate to grow facial hair outside the normal standards for the month of November in exchange for a $25 donation. All proceeds will be split and donated to the Cherokee County CAC and Relay for Life, who will use the funds to provide counseling for children and interviewing for children that have been abused and to battle cancer. Sheriff Shaver stated, “The response has been enormous, and I am proud we can raise funds to help the CAC and Relay for Life and employees can have some fun at the same time.”
