A single-vehicle accident took place on the causeway between Centre and Cedar Bluff just before 9:30 Monday morning, closing down both lanes of traffic for approximately half-an-hour. 

The driver, listed on that Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as 67 year old Carol Levasseur of Centre, apparently lost control of her 2007 Toyota, and then crashed into the guardrail.  It was noted that she was wearing her seat belt.

Cedar Bluff Police and Firefighters – along with Cherokee EMS and Alabama State Troopers responded.
